About NETRIS

The Network for Regional Integration Studies (NETRIS) is a project funded by, Edulink, the ACP-EU cooperation programme in Higher Education. Edulink is a programme of the European Union and implemented by the ACP Secretariat to improve the effectiveness and the impact of ACP-EU co-operation in the field of higher education. The project aims to establish and coordinate a network of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) working within the field of (comparative) regional integration. The duration of the project is 36 months.

The project will serve the needs and constraints of ACP HEIs by enhancing their capacities to design, conduct and disseminate the outcomes of multidisciplinary research on regional integration. he network composed of multi-disciplinary researchers will overcome the fragmentation of researchers and favour collaboration on joint state-of-the-art research initiatives. The mobility scheme and the virtual platform will facilitate exchanges of ideas, experience and research results. Additionally, closer collaboration between the academic community and policy makers will provide for the mutual enrichment of both policy and scientific endeavours by making social science research more policy relevant and thus bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners.
